Biography
Born in Transylvania, Romania and of Hungarian descent, Paula Urzica lives and works in London, England. She is known for her hyperrealist paintings depicting large-scale macaroons.
Urzica’s paintings are characterized by their ethereal quality and attention to detail. She often incorporates elements of nature into her work, using light and shadow to create a sense of depth and dimension. Her technique is based on careful observation and a keen attention to detail, which she achieves by building up layers of color slowly and methodically.
Urzica is currently based in the Cotswolds, UK, where she collects and catalogs her favorite paints and pastels. She enjoys long walks among nature and paints every day.
